The snood is a crocheted hair net that holds the hair at the back of the head. Snoods became popular in the 1940s when many women worked in factories whilst men were at war. Snoods allowed women to be fashionable and feminine while also keeping their hair away from their faces. Most women would then curl and style the front of the hair left outside of the net to counteract their drab factory uniforms.
Our retro hair snoods are imported from the USA and are available in many colours to match your retro look.
